SelectNY has created a special campaign, SelectBravery2014, to support our mission of youth empowerment.
We’re showcasing people’s bravery resolutions- Iike our Youth Advisory Board Members, Shadille Estepan and Zach Trebilcock, shown above. Each time someone clicks on their favorite resolution, BTWF will get a donation towards one of our programs.
Please help us make the world kinder and braver- check out the site and share with your friends.
So be kind. Be brave. And help us to give youth the tools they need to lead safe and empowered lives.
Thank you for making today a #giving one.
“Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.”
We want YOU to join us and take part in a revolutionary project called “Text, Talk, and Act.”
On Thursday, December 5th, groups of people ALL OVER the USA will be taking part in an engaging, enlightening, and honest conversation about mental health. These important conversations will be taking place at the same time, in hundreds (maybe thousands) of different places and it’ll all be happening live, on your phone, via text message.
Starting or joining a conversation is super simple. Here’s what you’ll need to do:
- At some point on December 5th, gather a group of 4 - 6 people, then start the 60 - minute process by texting ‘hi’ or ‘hello’ to a pre-assigned number (which we’ll share in the coming week)
- Engage as the texting service asks you questions, dialogue prompts, interesting quiz questions, and polls.
No, seriously. That’s it! So are you in?! Reblog or like this post to show us if you’ll be participating, along with Team BTWF, on December 5th.
You can even watch online as results are aggregated in real time. Why are we asking you to take part? Because mental health needs to be discussed in healthy, open and informative ways. We can’t wait to hear your voice as you take part in this important project.
